Hacked global warming emails

Apparently Joe Lieberman did indeed decide to betray us all yesterday, voting for the Senate socialist medicine bill in violation of his word. Pretty weak actions, from a pretty weak man.

In the way of brighter information, though, and continuing with the topic of my previous post, I encountered another piece of rather interesting news this weekend. Specifically, some noble-hearted hacker decided to fight back against the eco-fascists. To help save the world from madness, this person infiltrated the network of a global warming research center. He then spread their files out over the internet for the world to see.

Resist or serve!

Hundreds of private e-mail messages and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change.

From the Andrew Bolt Blog:

So the 1079 emails and 72 documents seem indeed evidence of a scandal involving most of the most prominent scientists pushing the man-made warming theory — a scandal that is one of the greatest in modern science. I’ve been adding some of the most astonishing in updates below — emails suggesting conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more. If it is as it now seems, never again will “peer review” be used to shout down s[k]eptics.

Here are just a few snippets from the leaked email messages. They’re kinda funny.

The other paper by MM is just garbage – as you knew. [Global Warming Skeptic] De Freitas again. Pielke is also losing all credibility as well by replying to the mad Finn as well – frequently as I see it. I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. K and I will keep them out somehow – even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is !

The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong.

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.

Can you delete any emails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise. He’s not in at the moment – minor family crisis. Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? I don’t have his new email address. We will be getting Caspar to do likewise. I see that CA claim they discovered the 1945 problem in the Nature paper!!

All this cool hacking stuff is sort of like the Matrix! Fight the power.

Saving the planet…from humans?

From the Associated Press,

UN: Fight climate change with free condoms

The battle against global warming could be helped if the world slowed population growth by making free condoms and family planning advice more widely available, the U.N. Population Fund said Wednesday.

The agency did not recommend countries set limits on how many children people should have, but said: “Women with access to reproductive health services … have lower fertility rates that contribute to slower growth in greenhouse gas emissions.”

“As the growth of population, economies and consumption outpaces the Earth’s capacity to adjust, climate change could become much more extreme and conceivably catastrophic,” the report said.

Heh, and some people actually thought I was crazy when I linked the global warming hysteria to outright hatred of the human population. I’M NOT CRAZY!

When someone hates humanity, it is easy for him to distrust people and disbelieve that new generations of humans can utilize liberty to provide for themselves. When the hater of humanity sees six billion people, he only sees six billion mouths to feed — mouths that he himself has to feed. It never occurs to him that the mouths might be attached to intelligent, wonderful human beings — human beings created in God’s image, who have an obligation to care for themselves and who can generally do so when given sufficient liberty.

When someone hates humanity, he will despise any notion that greater numbers of humans might actually spur progress.

With more people, you have more geniuses. With more geniuses, you have more scientific breakthroughs. With more scientific breakthroughs, you have quicker PROGRESS. Of course, the despisers of humanity actually despise progress. That is why they glorify primitive native cultures who sit in poverty while living “in harmony with nature.”

From the same article,

In its 1987 report, the U.N. Population Fund warned that once the global population hit 5 billion, the world “could degenerate into disaster.”

Dumb idiots never learn.

Depraved and suicidal minds

Death by Watt

Well, the House of Representatives ruined an otherwise perfectly decent weekend by passing a socialized medicine bill last night. One idiot Republican voted for the bill, along with all but thirty-nine Democrats. From what I can tell, Jim Cooper (Nashville) and Steven Cohen (Memphis) are the only Democrats from Tennessee who voted for the bill. Presumably the other Democrats (including three from Tennessee) got scared by the conservative turnout on election day last week in various states. I had called Jim Cooper’s office on Friday asking that he vote against the bill —  but to no avail.

I somewhat doubt that the plan will get anywhere in the Senate. Even Joe Lieberman has apparently pledged to help filibuster it. If he caves, though, we are all in trouble.

Overall, I have just about decided that all the fuss over individual votes and individual elections has become somewhat pointless. When these types of wicked proposals even come to the floor of the United States Congress, you know the country is in trouble. We have already lost half the battle when people harbor these temptations. Wicked socialist schemes should not even come under consideration.

For that reason, I think America’s problem is primarily spiritual. The Republican Party can alter its strategy, and go back to its roots, and maybe find candidates who are better than McCain, and weed out its corruption, and make all sorts of improvements, and come up with brilliant ideas — but maintaining fidelity to the Constitution should not be so hard. These types of socialistic policies were unthinkable decades ago. Bill Clinton almost ruined his career by proposing what Obama is now attempting to pass into law.

We now live in a country where 40% of the children are born out of wedlock, where 50+% of marriages end in divorce, and where all the single mommies therefore want Uncle Sam to become their provider instead of finding and sticking with husbands. (I have mentioned before that 70% of single ladies voted for Barack Obama!)

Overall, the suicidal policies of our evil politicians seem to me like a judgment from God. I got the latest edition of The Economist this week, and the front cover story talks about America’s declining birth rate. Statistically, we are killing ourselves off through abortion and foolish philosophies that deride the family and discourage childbearing. In the realm of economics, meanwhile, the Democrats have already added more than $1 trillion onto the national debt since Obama’s election in the pursuit of hollow Keynesian goals. (For those just tuning in, Keynesian economics argues that the government should spend money just for the sake of spending money, because that raises the GDP figure and makes the country seem wealthier than it actually is.) Despite these efforts, unemployment continues to rise, and socialists in Congress seem hell-bent on wrecking the economy further by imposing a tax on a gas that humans exale in order to combat “global warming.” In the realm of foreign policy, weak-spined leaders placate enemy regimes like the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Fire of Rome by Hubert Robert

We are on a suicidal path. It reminds me of the “depraved mind” described in Romans 1. Hence, Paul describes God’s general method of dealing with wicked individuals. They turn their backs on God, and he rebukes them. But they keep on doing rejecting him, and eventually he simply lets their wickedness envelope their souls. Even entire societies may likewise experience this type of hardening of heart.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. . . . For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools. . . . Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. . . .

Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18-32)

I think the wickedness has enveloped America’s soul. Winning the hearts and minds of those who have not yet fallen off the cliff seems the best strategy of winning the country back, but I wonder how difficult that may be.
